Registration data for the German market
Data published by the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) shows that 24,440 new tractors were registered in Germany in 2025, a decrease of 12.4 percent compared with the previous year. Within this total, Fendt accounted for 6,326 registrations, corresponding to a market share of 24.3 percent.
According to the official statistics, this places Fendt first in overall tractor registrations across all power classes. In practical terms, approximately one in four tractors newly registered in Germany during 2025 was produced by the Marktoberdorf-based manufacturer.
Power-class distribution
The registration figures indicate a particularly high concentration in the mid-power segment. In the 51 hp class, Fendt reached a market share of 30.9 percent. From 68 hp upwards, registrations include battery-electric and conventional driveline configurations, reflecting the manufacturer’s broad coverage of powertrain technologies across the portfolio.

Developments in neighbouring European markets
Registration data from other European countries show similar patterns. In Switzerland, total tractor registrations increased by three percent year-on-year to 1,624 units, with Fendt accounting for 362 registrations and a market share of 22.3 percent.
In the Netherlands, 2,205 new tractors were registered in 2025, representing an 11.3 percent decline compared with 2024. Fendt recorded 494 registrations, corresponding to a 22 percent share. In Denmark, where total registrations declined by more than 25 percent, Fendt ranked first for the first time with 198 newly registered tractors across the main power classes.
Relevance for agricultural operations
Registration statistics provide an indicator of fleet renewal trends among agricultural enterprises and contractors. The 2025 data suggests continued demand for tractors covering a wide power range, despite an overall contraction in the market.
