Compact performance for vineyards, orchards, and confined farm environments
John Deere has introduced the 5EN Tractor Series, a compact lineup developed for European farmers working in narrow and low-clearance conditions such as vineyards, orchards, greenhouses, and traditional village landscapes. Derived from the proven 5ML platform, the 5EN series delivers the manoeuvrability and power required for intensive specialty crop tasks.
Narrow dimensions with strong power and lift capability
The series includes the 5075EN, 5090EN, and 5105EN models, offering wheelbases of 1,950 mm or 2,250 mm and working widths from 1.35 to 1.70 metres. These dimensions make the 5075EN particularly suited for tight rows. Powered by 2.9L and 4.5L PowerTech engines, the tractors deliver up to 106 max hp with strong fuel efficiency. DEF consumption is minimized, with no DEF required for the 5075EN and only 3% used by larger models.
The familiar PowrReverser transmission is available in 12x12 or 24x12 configurations, and a factory-installed creeper gear allows precise speeds down to 0.3 km/h—ideal for delicate operations. With up to 2.4 tonnes rear lift capacity and 1.4 tonnes at the front, the 5EN series supports a wide range of high-demand implements. Electronic Hitch Control and fender-mounted controls further simplify implement adjustments.
Operator-focused design for comfort and safety
The 5075EN offers both open operator station and cab variants. Open station models feature easy access, an isolated floor frame, ergonomic controls, an 8-inch digital display, and a foldable front ROPS for added safety. Cab versions enhance comfort with panorama doors, an improved console layout, and standard air conditioning. Optional Category 4 filtration provides added protection against dust and aerosols.
Precision agriculture built into a compact platform
All 5EN models come JDLink-enabled and support AutoTrac Universal 300, enabling precision guidance even on open station tractors. With AutoTrac functioning at speeds as low as 0.5 km/h, operators can maintain accuracy in high-value crop rows. The G5 display adds remote access, task planning, and fleet management capabilities.
Durability features such as metal fenders, fuel tank shielding, optional underbody protection, and straightforward servicing—including a 500-hour service interval—further support long-term operation.
By combining compact design, strong performance, operator comfort, and modern digital capabilities, the 5EN series provides specialty crop producers with a versatile and technology-ready tractor built for demanding environments.
