New Holland Upgrades Tractor and Loader Range for 2026

How New Holland’s 2026 Machinery Line-Up Improves Productivity for Farmers
Farmers seeking higher efficiency, greater operator comfort and better handling across smart farming systems will see major advancements in New Holland’s next-generation machinery range. At LAMMA 2026, held at the NEC Birmingham on 14–15 January, the company presented updates across the T7 Standard Wheelbase, T7 XD, W170D+ wheel loader and T5S tractor series, reinforcing its focus on performance and reliability for British and Irish agricultural conditions.

The new T7 Standard Wheelbase (SWB) tractor improves ride quality and manoeuvrability in the 180–225 hp segment. A redesigned front axle increases stability on road and field surfaces, while a turning radius reduced by 17% supports tighter headland turns and easier work in compact yards. The Horizon cab offers more space, upgraded materials, improved storage and refined controls that streamline transmission, hydraulic and precision-farming functions. Climate enhancements, multiple suspension configurations and varied roof choices further support long working days.

Transmission availability begins with Auto Command continuously variable transmission, with Dynamic Command and Range Command semi-powershift models scheduled for release later in 2026. The T7.225 Dynamic Command version has achieved a new DLG PowerMix fuel-efficiency benchmark in its class, confirming the range’s focus on lowering running costs.

How the W170D+ Loader Supports Forage and Biomass Work
New Holland also showcased the W170D+ Forage Power wheel loader, presented in the UK for the first time. Awarded FARM MACHINE 2026 in the Material Handling category at Agritechnica, it is tailored for silage clamps and biomass applications requiring strong torque, reliable traction and long operational cycles. With an operating weight of around 16.4 tonnes, approximately 255 hp and torque above 1,300 Nm from a 6.7-litre FPT engine, the loader delivers significantly higher performance than the W170D. A six-speed transmission with lock-up from first gear, combined with a self-locking front differential and limited-slip rear axle, ensures dependable grip on steep or slippery clamps.

A Cooling Cube with reversible fan supports operation in dusty conditions, while the cab improves visibility through a panoramic windscreen, LED lighting and optional wide-angle camera or rear obstacle detection.

How the T7 XD Expands High-Horsepower Capability
The new T7 XD introduces a higher-power category for New Holland, offering models around 360, 390 and 435 hp. Designed for contractors and large-scale farms, the series balances a high power-to-weight ratio with flexibility for draft work, haulage and complex implement combinations. A Stage V 8.7-litre FPT Cursor 9 engine mounted on a structural sump reduces vibration and enables a narrower chassis for improved visibility and manoeuvrability. An electronic variable-geometry turbocharger maximizes efficiency, while a 680-litre fuel tank and 750-hour service interval reduce downtime.

A revised Auto Command transmission allows speeds above 60 km/h at lower rpm, improving transport efficiency. Combined with a new suspended front axle and updated cab design, the series delivers the stability and operator comfort expected from a flagship tractor.

How the Updated T5S Enhances Loader Work and Everyday Tasks
The updated T5S series delivers higher power options, improved transmissions and better visibility for mixed farming, livestock units and yard operations. Available in 90, 101 and new 110 hp versions, the tractor offers fast steering response and a rocker switch shuttle enabling smooth direction changes during loader work. Dynamic StopStart enhances productivity during frequent stop-and-go tasks, while upgraded LED lighting improves safety and visibility.

Optional factory-fitted telematics and lifetime connectivity are available, along with ISOBUS Class II compatibility for streamlined implement communication. From 2026, T5S models will also offer electronic Lift-O-Matic rear-hitch control and optional electric autoguidance.

New Holland’s expanded 2026 portfolio demonstrates the company’s ongoing investment in power efficiency, operator-centric design and multifunctional capability across tractors and material-handling machinery.
